




If all I had seen in Whitehorse had been the photos below, I would have considered the trip a great success. Unfortunately, these pics are from our third night out. On our first night out, and during my first experience shooting long exposures in the north, we were treated to an unbelievable Aurora Borealis performance. Our hosts described that night's Aurora as one of the best they'd ever experienced. It was incredible. And a great lesson was learned: figure out which way the focus ring should be turned during the day when you can see the result. I didn't and the 100-plus photos I took that night are a blurry blob of disappointment. At least I have my memories.
